We are continuing to follow the latest advice and recommendations from health authorities around the coronavirus situation as well as communicating regular updates to our members and clients and forward planning for a number of potential outcomes.
We have been conducting health and welfare checks with our clients who rely on personal support to ensure they have an emergency plan in place in case of future service disruption.
We have also put measures in place to ensure our casual workforce and Personal Support Workers are financially supported in the case of required self-isolation.
We are increasing our focus on hygiene, including offering hand soap and sanitizer to guests and staff, cleaning equipment after each use and encouraging social distancing within our offices.

Emergency planning and preparing for hospital admission
If you require care from a support worker or carer, it’s important to ensure you have an emergency plan ready in the case you cannot receive care from your provider.
If you cannot receive care from an alternative source such as a family member, friend, partner or trusted person, you may need to consider hospital admittance as per current Queensland Health recommendations.
