As always, our Personal Support and Home Care Services will be operating throughout the festive season, to continue to provide support during this time.
Please note that our reception will be closed across all Spinal Life offices from 1pm Tuesday 24 December 2024 and will reopen at 8.30am Thursday 2 January 2025. We will have limited team members in our offices to complete essential tasks.

Healthy Living Centre Cairns
The Healthy Living Centre in Cairns will be closed as per the above dates, with no therapy appointments available until Monday 6 January 2025.
Gym members have access to the gym from 7am-7pm every day (including public holidays). Please note there will be no staff in the Centre at these times.
Our fully accessible accommodation is operating as usual throughout the festive season for a relaxing summer break.
Healthy Living Centre Brisbane
The Healthy Living Centre in Brisbane will also be closed as per the above dates, with no allied health appointments available until Monday 6 January 2025.
Fitness hub members have access to the Centre from 6am-8pm every day (including public holidays). Please note there will be no staff in the Centre at these times.
Personal Support and Home Care Services
While our reception may be closed, the usual support and contact arrangements will be available for Personal Support and Home Care Services.
The Urgent After-Hours Shift Response team will be available daily between 6.00am to 10.00pm (AEST) on 07 3435 3299 to assist with urgent shift fill requirements and changes.
Community Nursing
Our Community Nurses will be unavailable after 1pm Tuesday 24 December 2024, returning on Thursday 2 January 2025.
Support Coordination
We will have a team of Support Coordinators on call for emergencies during the office closure period, except for the public holidays, so we can continue to assist NDIS participants with urgent needs. Simply email supportscoordination@spinal.com.au to reach them.
Plan Management
All invoices must be received for payment by the close of business on midday Monday 23 December to be processed by the end of the year. Any invoices received after this date will be processed for payment on Monday 6 January 2025.
Back2Work
Our Back2Work team will be unavailable after 1pm Tuesday 24 December 2024, returning on Monday 6 January 2025.

About the Artist
Originally from Cape Town, Jean Gilbert called New Zealand home for a decade before making the move to Perth in 2006.
Following intensive rehabilitation after a spinal cord injury, Jean embraced a few hobbies including painting. Eventually, Jean’s passion for painting became more than just a hobby; it became a source of inspiration and healing.
As a testament to her remarkable journey, Jean was honoured to be among eight people chosen to represent Australia at the 10th International Abilympics 2023, aka, the “World Skill Olympics for People with Disabilities”.
We are immensely grateful to Jean for sharing her beautiful art with us for Christmas 2024.
