Research shows that people who return to work in a timely, safe, and sustainable way after serious injury experience financial, social, psychological, and physical benefits.
Back2Work is a specialist project that provides early intervention vocational rehabilitation to patients with spinal cord damage, funded through Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC). We work exclusively with patients in the Spinal Injuries Unit of Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital, free of charge.
Our Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellors Tania Goossen, Belinda McLeod and Brody Kleinschafer are available if you want to explore or discuss:
- Returning to work or study
- Starting a new job or career
- Retraining and course information
- Funding available around work and study
- Possible modifications to the workplace to help facilitate your return to work.
The project also offers expert assistance and information for employers to support their employee to return to work.
