The EnABLED Business Program
With 4.4 million Australians living with disability, your business may be missing out on potential employees and customers.
That’s where our EnABLED Business program comes in, providing one-on-one mentoring to businesses, disability awareness training for your team, and connections to potential employees with disability.
This is a free program, where we take the time to understand your business and its staffing needs to deliver a tailor-made approach targeted at your business and your specific needs.
Our EnABLED Business program is currently delivered in the Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and Ipswich regions, by a dedicated Small Business Inclusion Mentor.
The program is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through its Tourism Workforce Project and Growing Workforce Participation Fund.

How does it work?
Step 1. Tailored business review
Our first step is to understand what your business does, its goals and where there might be opportunities to build your ‘disability confidence’. We ask you a range of questions to
understand and identify options that are right for your business.
Step 2. Building Capacity
Through interactive and experiential activities, our Small Business Inclusion Mentor
will work with you and your team to build your disability awareness and understanding, giving future improvements more chance of gaining traction, leading to longer-term sustainable growth for your business.
Step 3. Recommendations
We will provide a targeted evaluation with recommendations tailored to your business, including practical steps for creating employment opportunities for people with disability.
Step 4. Business accessibility
We will provide you with ongoing advice, different recruitment pathways for people with a disability, or services to deliver additional awareness workshops and training run by Spinal Life Australia.
Outcomes
The EnABLED Business program offers a practical and comprehensive approach to enhancing accessibility and inclusion for businesses with a particular focus on employment.
