The Board of Directors of Spinal Life Australia has approved the appointment of Pitcher Partners as the organisation’s external auditor for the financial year ending 30 June 2025. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has granted its consent to the resignation of KPMG as external auditor.
In accordance with ASIC Regulatory Guide 26, which governs the resignation, removal, and replacement of auditors, members of Spinal Life Australia are advised of the following:
Details of the outgoing auditor:
KPMG
Level 11, Heritage Lanes 80 Ann St
Brisbane, QLD 4000
Partner: Bronwyn Lovell
Details of the proposed incoming auditor:
Pitcher Partners
Level 38, 345 Queen Street
Brisbane, QLD 4000

Reason for the change in auditor:
As part of its commitment to governance best practice, the Board conducted a review of the company’s audit arrangements during the year. A formal request for proposals was issued to four audit firms, including KPMG. Following a thorough evaluation of the submissions against a set of defined criteria, the Board resolved to appoint Pitcher Partners as the external auditor for the 2024–2025 financial year.
The appointment of Pitcher Partners will remain in effect until the next Annual General Meeting, at which time members will be invited to confirm the appointment through a formal vote.
